From the tapas selection of the workers’ bars in Barcelona, these mussels in escabeche (a sweet and sour tomato sauce) may not be the most sophisticated thing in town, but for the aficionados, well… we recall ice cold Friday beers after work with colleagues, toothpick in hand, taking turns to pop a tangy mussel in our mouths and laughing about the week’s events.
